Celina went on to say that when the NCW sent a letter to the Joint Secretary (PAI Division), Ministry of External Affairs, the matter was brought up with the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi and “an immediate investigation and action” was requested.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-104090″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-the-education-ministry-signs-106-memorandums-of-understanding-to-promote-innovation-research-and-knowledge-exchange-in-a-variety-of-fields-download-2023-07-31t154413.955.jpg” alt=”” width=”1137″ height=”651″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-the-education-ministry-signs-106-memorandums-of-understanding-to-promote-innovation-research-and-knowledge-exchange-in-a-variety-of-fields-download-2023-07-31t154413.955.jpg 297w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-the-education-ministry-signs-106-memorandums-of-understanding-to-promote-innovation-research-and-knowledge-exchange-in-a-variety-of-fields-download-2023-07-31t154413.955-150×86.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1137px) 100vw, 1137px” />

A few months ago, a self-described Hindi film critic and journalist from Pakistan named @UmairSandu took to Twitter to make bizarre allegations about my relationships with both my mentor Feroz Khan and his son Fardeen. In addition, he made claims targeting me and my family’s safety and security even in Australia. Celina shared a picture of the letter the MEA sent to the NCW in response after receiving the complaint. Millions of Twitter users, including Pakistanis who were outraged by his behavior, supported me when my reaction to his harassment and false allegations from Pakistan went public. The offender often changes his location on social media but was hiding in Pakistan, so I was unable to take legal action there and he continued to insult my reputation and modesty from the other side of the border. As a result, I complained to India’s National Commission for Women. My protest was acknowledged by @NCWIndia, who then sent a letter to the esteemed Joint Secretary (PAI Division), Ministry of External Affairs.

Thanks to @MEAIndia for taking the appropriate measures in this regard. The MEA has sent a letter to the Commission with a favourable answer. The event is being treated with the highest concern by the Ministry, who has brought up the issue with the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi to demand a prompt inquiry and response.
