Formula E Team Title for Envision Is Secured by Nick Cassidy Victory

In difficult circumstances in the rain-soaked London E-Prix, Nick Cassidy took the lead and prevailed, helping Envision Racing win the team championship as the fierce 2023 Formula E season came to an end on this Sunday.

In the race that was delayed and red-flagged at the start, Jake Dennis took third place, while Mitch Evans, who won race one on Saturday, came in second.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-103957″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-07-31t122103.458.jpg” alt=”” width=”1126″ height=”609″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-07-31t122103.458.jpg 305w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-07-31t122103.458-150×81.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1126px) 100vw, 1126px” />

In the last race, Cassidy’s pole position gave Envision Racing a three-point advantage against Jaguar TCS.

Before the start of the season’s last race, the two teams were tied on 268 points apiece.

With drivers Pascal Wehrlein and Antonio Da Costs beginning at positions 10 and 20, respectively, on the grid, Tag Heuer Porsche (241) was starting at position three, while Envision and Jaguar were competing for the team title.

The race started with a safety car in front of the drivers for five circuits because rain was battering the outdoor track, and it was red flagged because of the hazard.

Officials in charge of race control waited for better circumstances. Following the restart, cars once again followed the safety car for two circuits until the second red flag stopped the race.

Finally, as the race got off, Cassidy fully capitalized on his pole position and pulled ahead of the pack to take the win.

With 304 points, his team Envision finished far ahead of Jaguar (292) and Avalanche Andretti (252).

Dennis finished third on Saturday and went on to win the driver’s championship.

Earlier, Mitch Evans was edged by Cassidy for the pole position in qualifying by the tiniest of margins, -0.010. This came after Cassidy defeated drivers’ champion Jake Dennis in the semifinals despite having wrecked in race one on Saturday.

Prior to qualifying, Evans had shown to be the guy with the best time.
