‘Baseless’ Reports That India Will Wear a Different Kit Against Pakistan in the 2023 World Cup Are Rejected by BCCI

For their much awaited ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match against Pakistan, the Indian men’s cricket team will not don a distinctive uniform.

The Rohit Sharma-led team may be wearing a different uniform for this specific match, which is slated to be played on October 14 in Ahmedabad, according to reports, which the BCCI has refuted.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-225424″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-a-chennai-man-sends-a-friend-2000-rupees-and-receives-rs-753-billion-in-his-accoun.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com a chennai man sends a friend 2000 rupees and receives rs 753 billion in his accoun” width=”1322″ height=”821″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-a-chennai-man-sends-a-friend-2000-rupees-and-receives-rs-753-billion-in-his-accoun.jpg 285w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-a-chennai-man-sends-a-friend-2000-rupees-and-receives-rs-753-billion-in-his-accoun-150×93.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1322px) 100vw, 1322px” title=”'Baseless' Reports That India Will Wear a Different Kit Against Pakistan in the 2023 World Cup Are Rejected by BCCI 3″>

“We completely deny the media rumors that Team India would play Pakistan wearing a different match kit. These rumors are entirely untrue and the product of someone’s imagination. At the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, the Men in Blue will wear the blue colors of India, according to news agency ANI’s quotation of Ashish Shelar, the honorary treasurer of the BCCI.

India did play England with a different uniform during the 2019 ODI World Cup; it was a deeper blue with orange sleeves. However, there are currently no intentions to take any action of that kind this time.

India defeated Australia by a commanding six wickets in their ODI World Cup opener on Sunday in Chennai. India was 2/3 after 2 overs in their 200-run chase before KL Rahul (97*) and Virat Kohli (85), who helped them bounce back from the early setbacks.

When India needed just 23 runs more to win, Kohli was out, but he did so after attempting a pull shot off Josh Hazlewood (3/38) in the 38th over.

With the help of Hardik Pandya (11*), Rahul led the team across the finish line and sealed the victory with a six.

India will now take a flight to Delhi before their Wednesday matchup with Afghanistan.

The first match of the world cup, between England and New Zealand, took place last week. All ten teams have already competed in one match, with wins coming from New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, and India in their respective first contests.

During the India-Australia game in Chennai, there was an intrusion. Daniel Jarvis, better known as Jarvo, a renowned pitch invader, was able to sneak past Chepauk’s security and attempted to approach the players on the field.

After the security crew promptly intervened to remove him off the field, the International Cricket Council (ICC) issued a statement announcing Jarvo’s suspension from the competition.
