<p>Eight boxers from the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) blasted into the semifinals of the 7th Elite Women’s National Boxing Championships, which were held at the GBU Indoor Stadium in Greater Noida, led by Manju Rani (48 kg) and Sonia Lather (57 kg).</p>

<p>In addition to Manju and Sonia, the following athletes have assured medals for the RSPB: Anamika (50 kg), Jyoti (52 kg), Shiksha (54 kg), Anupama (70 kg), Nandini (75 kg), and Nupur (81+ kg). Manju Rani of RSPB outclassed Sanjana of Delhi in the 48 kg match, winning 5-0 on the judges’ scorecard. In the semifinals, Manju will take against Minakshi of the All India Police (AIP).</p>
<p>The silver medalist from the 2016 World Championship, Sonia Lather of RSPB, defeated Vinakshi Dhota of Himachal Pradesh 5-2 to set up her semifinal matchup with Mandeep Kaur of Punjab. Mandeep, meanwhile, defeated Preeti of AIP 4-1 to guarantee her spot in the last four.</p>
<p>In a different contest, Jaismine of the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB), who won bronze in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, defeated Poonam Kaithwas of Maharashtra by a Rule of Clash to advance to the quarterfinals, where she will take against Menka Devi of Himachal Pradesh. Menka defeated PS Girija of Tamil Nadu 4-1 in the quarterfinals.</p>
<p>AIP’s Sonu stunned the judges in the 63kg class, winning 5-2 against Shashi Chopra, the winner of the 2022 Senior National Championship. Sonu will play Rinky Sharma of Uttar Pradesh, who advanced to the last four by defeating Muskan Rana of Himachal Pradesh 5-0.</p>
<p>In the 66kg division, Ankushita Boro, the Youth World Champion, defeated Anjali Tushir of RSPB 5-0. Deepika from Himachal Pradesh, Boro’s semifinal opponent, defeated Rekha of Uttar Pradesh 0–5, again with ease.</p>
<p>Sweety Boora of Haryana persisted in her supremacy in the 81kg weight class. When facing Saie Davkhar of Maharashtra, the gold medalist from the 2023 World Championship outmatched her opponent to the point that the referee had to call a halt to the match. In a separate 81kg match, Bhagyabati Kachari of Assam outweighed her opponent Saitejaswini Maineni of Andhra Pradesh to the point where the referee ruled a stopped contest, paving the way for a semifinal matchup with Saweety.</p>
<p>More than 300 boxers have competed in 12 divisions in the esteemed competition, which is hosted by the Boxing Federation of India. Wednesday is the day the finals are supposed to take place.</p>
