Bjp: BJP reducing govt jobs in country, alleges Rahul Gandhi | Karnataka Election News – Times of India

HAVERI/BELAGAVI: Daring Rahul to prove his allegation, Union home minister Amit Shah said, “They (Congress) should go to court if they have concrete evidence. There’s neither been a probe nor any case. Why should people believe such baseless allegations?”Rahul, whose “Modi surname” remark at a 2019 poll rally in Karnataka’s Kolar invited the criminal defamation case that led to his conviction and disqualification as an MP, took a dig at “BJP functionaries’ fondness for the number 40” and urged voters to restrict the saffron party to 40 seats in the state this time. He appealed to them to give Congress at least 150 seats in the House of 224.The former AICC president accused the BJP-led alliance at the Centre of promoting privatisation of state-owned companies and reducing government jobs in the country. “When Modi became PM, he said 2 crore youth would be given jobs every year. (But) unemployment is highest today in 40 years,” he said.
